英特尔开始交付新款Atom芯片 可降低能耗20%

据国外媒体报道,英特尔当地时间周三开始交付面向上网本的最新型号凌动处理器,与上一代凌动芯片相比,能耗降低20%。此举被外界认为是英特尔在平板电脑大潮中保持上网本增长的一项重要举措。英特尔在一份声明中表示,新款凌动处理器集成有两个内核,是代号为Cedar Trail的平台的一部分,可以延长上网本电池续航时间,提高总体性能。包括惠普、宏碁、联想、东芝、华硕和三星在内的PC厂商将从明年1月份起发售采用Cedar Trail平台的上网本,起价为199美元。
英特尔称,与两年前推出的型号相比,新款凌动处理器图形性能增长一倍,能耗降低20%。配置新款凌动处理器的上网本电池续航时间可长达10小时。
英特尔计划在明年1月份的国际消费电子展上讨论面向智能手机、平板电脑和PC的最新型号处理器。
Cedar Trail平台是英特尔改进上网本努力的一个重要步骤。英特尔发言人称,尽管Cedar Trail平台可以用于平板电脑,但该公司大多数客户将把即将发布的Medfield或Clover Trail用在平板电脑中。
尽管上网本面临平板电脑的威胁,但英特尔仍然看好上网本。英特尔称,虽然上网本在美国和西欧的销量在下滑,但在中国、印度等发展中国家市场上,上网本销量还在增长。
新款凌动处理器使上网本能播放高清视频,支持HDMI(高清晰度多媒体接口)使上网本可以与高清电视机相连,无线显示技术可以通过无线技术将PC画面传输到电视机上。
英特尔的新款凌动处理器包括时钟频率为1.6GHz、能耗为3.5瓦的凌动N2600,以及时钟频率为1.86GHz、能耗为6.5瓦的凌动N2800。英特尔9月份推出了台式机版Cedar Trail平台。
